How To Start The Contract Expansion

Grand Theft Auto Online's latest update - The Contract - introduces many strange but welcome additions. It features new businesses, missions, vehicles, and weapons unlike any other. However, before players can enjoy this Grand Theft Auto Online update to the fullest, they must begin The Contract expansion.

Doing so requires players to contribute a significant amount of time, effort, and cash. Although such sacrifices seem excessive, players will receive numerous worthwhile rewards for their contributions. Moreover, they will have the opportunity to meet Franklin Clinton, Chop, Lamar Davis, and even Dr. Dre himself.

Buy An Agency

First, players will need to acquire an Agency, the new property introduced in The Contract update. Such establishments cost a considerable sum, so players should acquire sufficient funds beforehand. To purchase an Agency, players must go to the Dynasty 8 Executive website. There they will find four locations available to them:

Each Agency is relatively similar in terms of location and appearance. So, price is the main factor players should consider before purchasing an Agency. The most cost-effective options are Little Seoul and Vespucci Canals. Those flushed with cash can purchase the Agency at Rockford Hills or Hawick should they desire.

Visit Your Agency

Upon acquiring an Agency, players will need to visit their newly acquired business. Entering the property will initiate a cutscene in which Franklin introduces players to his company, the Celebrity Solution Agency. Afterward, players need to head over to their office in the building. There, they will discover a computer possessing everything required to get started.

Before players can access it, they must become a CEO, MC President, or VIP. Interacting with the computer will present players with three Security Contract missions - they must complete two before progressing. These assignments can range anywhere from a simple delivery to a rescue operation. So, players must be prepared and adequately equipped before carrying out these quests.

Complete Two Security Contracts

Immediately upon completing two Security Contracts, players will receive a phone call from Franklin. He issues a meeting at the Golf Course to discuss future business opportunities. Players can find Franklin by following the yellow capital F marker on the map. Upon arriving at the Golf Course, a cutscene will play, in which Franklin and Dr. Dre himself talk about working together.

Afterward, players are assigned another mission, although this one is of greater importance. They must fulfill a request for Dr. Dre to earn a partnership. After completing this assignment, players will receive a phone call from Franklin, telling them to return to the Agency. Upon entering the location, a cutscene will play, in which Franklin and Imani discuss the details for another job.

Other Security Contract Info

From then on, players can continue the storyline or reap the rewards provided by the Agency. Completing a Security Contract mission will increase the Agency's daily revenue by $100, capping at $20,000. Thus, players must conduct a total of 200 assignments to maximize their business's daily allowance. In addition, there are several milestones for completing a certain number of Security Contracts:

Select vehicles introduced in The Contract update have access to Imani Tech - advanced modifications only accessible with an Agency. Such enhancements include a Remote Control Unit and a Missile Lock-On Jammer. The former allows players to pilot their vehicles like an RC car, while the latter protects against homing rockets. Everything The Contract expansion has to offer is well worth the price of starting it up.

GTA Online is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions releasing in March 2022. Rockstar Games discontinued service on the PS3 and Xbox 360 on December 16, 2021.
