New Razer Blade Gaming Laptops Revealed at CES 2022

If the console versus PC debate wasn't enough already, choosing between a standard desktop PC and a gaming laptop makes the situation all the more complicated. Razer isn't making things any easier for consumers, either, as the gaming powerhouse has just revealed the next iterations of its Blade line of laptops. For those looking to upgrade their current setups, the new line packs quite the punch.

The announcements have helped kick off CES 2022, which has seen some major new reveals on the gaming hardware front. The Razer Blade line has always been powerful, standing as one of the most MacBook-like options for those that are looking for a multi-use laptop. This time around, Razer Blade laptops will feature Nvidia 30-series graphics cards, giving them an even more powerful punch.

Additionally, the new Razer Blade line will give buyers a choice between the AMD Ryzen 6000 Series or Intel's 12th Generation processors, up to the Intel Core i9-12900H. The laptops will also feature DDR5 memory with clock speeds up to 4800 Mhz, which Razer touts as a 50% increase over the previous generation. Razer's new Blade laptops will also ship with Windows 11 pre-installed, the latest version of the operating system currently available.

The Razer Blade laptops are beefy, though the price tag certainly reflects the under-the-hood power. The exact cost will depend on what buyers are looking for, but even the baseline options hover around the $2,000 mark. That being said, 30-Series graphics cards have been next to impossible to find, and the Razer Blade isn't a bad option for those that would rather not wait for graphics cards to become more readily available.

There's also something to be said about the size of the Razer Blade laptop. While most gaming laptops have a reputation for being thick and awkward looking, the Razer Blade line is thin, making it a highly portable option. For those that are looking for both form and function – and don't mind the price tag – the Razer Blade is one of the few gaming laptops where those two things intersect.

There are still a few days left in CES 2022, so gamers will likely hear of more new products slated to debut. Of course, there are also going to be new concepts that may never see the light of day, which are also interesting. There are also practical updates, like Samsung's Gaming Hub, to be excited about in the near future.
